A Beautiful Booking at Rookery Hall

We had the pleasure of performing at another gorgeous wedding this weekend—this time at Rookery Hall in Nantwich, booked through the lovely team at Notable Music. With their kind permission, I’m sharing a few highlights from the day, as it was one to remember.

The bride, Rachel, looked absolutely radiant in a full-skirted Georgian-style dress that perfectly matched the elegance of the venue. The space was full of character already, but it came to life even more with a stunning floral arch and natural light pouring through the large windows.

Live Painting with Liam Dickinson

One of the standout features of the day was the presence of artist Liam Dickinson, who was quietly working away as we set up. Liam is a Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year Finalist—and a genuinely lovely, modest person too.

When we arrived, he was in the process of sketching the outlines of the room: the window, the floral arch, and the atmosphere. It was fascinating to watch the beginnings of a scene that would later include the bride and groom. Liam works from photos as well, explaining that once guests arrive, the visual setup shifts too much to work from life alone.

He told us he’d be finishing the piece that afternoon, and we’re so excited to see how it turns out. You can see a glimpse of the transformation in the short clips we’ve included below.
