Trio Repertoire

Instead of sheet music, we use Samsung Galaxy tablets. There are many advantages to them: they are neat and tidy, you and your guests can choose music with ease, there is minimal delay between pieces, they enable us to quickly relocate if needed, we don’t need lighting and most importantly we can easily add new music to our ever increasing repertoire.

Our String Quartet repertoire contains over 1,400 pieces from Bach to the Killers, and everything in between, making it one of the largest collections in Britain.

The Bridgewater String Quartet and Trio has something for everyone, and if your favourite song isn’t on our list, we can have it arranged for you.

Testimonials

Rookery hall

Our hearts are absolutely bursting with pride and gratitude for The Bridgewater String Quartet: Alison, Charlotte, Anna & Ruth. Words simply cannot describe how amazing you were at our wedding in August 2023 and for the months and months leading towards the day itself. Thank you to each of you for making our wedding day so perfect for us all, especially my beautiful Mum.
We found TBSQ purely by chance and our wedding simply would not have been the same without them. Throughout all correspondence, Alison was wonderful and unbelievably helpful. Not only did she source the music for our church ceremony, she also arranged for multiple lesser-known pieces to be composed for us. Each and every one of which was performed perfectly and brought our families to tears. After months and months of chatting via email, we got to know Alison and the quartet so well that it felt like we had 4 extra friends joining us on our special day. I quite miss our chats! One of the musicians had even performed in the exact production we had requested music from.
We were so in love with TBSQ that we asked them to perform all day: the ceremony, the drinks’ reception and the meal (and the church was quite a distance from the reception). Despite this, nothing was too much trouble for the quartet and we sincerely hope they enjoyed performing as much as we enjoyed their performance.
I cannot stress this enough: book these wonderful women for your event & you will be overjoyed. We would book them again in a heartbeat and the first opportunity we have to see the lovely ladies again, we’ll be there.
Thank you so so so much for making our wedding day so exceptionally personal & memorable. It really was perfect with ‘No alarms & no surprises’ (one of our many requests). With love and gratitude always xxx

Hayley and Sam, St Michael's Church, Bramhall and Rookery Hall (August 2023)

Thank you so much for your amazing performance at our wedding, it was just perfect and everyone really loved your string quartet. My mum was just so happy that you were performing as she loved you guys and mentions you every time I see her. Thank you for helping make our day and our guest’s day extra classy and special.

Shane & Amanda, Higher Trapp Country House Hotel (June 2021)

Thank you so much to you and your colleagues for performing at our wedding on Monday. Our guests were singing your praises and saying how beautiful the music was. I must say, what I heard sounded absolutely wonderful. I wish you all the best for the future, and we know where to come if we ever need some magical music again.

Saraya & Zach, Sandhole Oakbarn (August 2022)

What can I say! I can’t thank you enough for being so amazing you helped elevate our day to another level, I’m still on magical whirlwind I don’t want to get off. I’m sorry I didn’t get to give you a big hug and thank you in person. Thank you so much.

Simon & John, Iscoyd Park (August 2022)

Just wanted to say thank you so much for playing on our wedding day. When I heard that first song from the bridal room it made me so emotional and made it all feel real. I’m sorry I barely got a chance to see you but I heard you and it was just perfect. Can’t thank you enough for helping to make our day so special.

Katie & Alex, Styal Lodge (October 2021)

These three wonderfully talented ladies played for us at our wedding in May. We were blown away by the sheer talent. It was beautiful and we will always remember having a trio at our wedding. All of the guests said how wonderful it was!! Thank you so much for making our day special with your beautiful playing xxx

Annabel and Nick, Sandhole Oak Barn (May 2023)

Thank you again for making our day so so special – you were such a hit with all of our guests. Everyone thought you were fantastic! We will definitely be recommending you to all our friends!

Eve and Nihil, Manchester Hall (July 2023)

We just wanted to say thank you to you and the rest of the trio you really made our wedding day. Us and our guests loved the music, we really can’t imagine what our day would have been like without you there.
The music sounded incredible during the ceremony and drinks reception and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to anyone!  Thank you for making the whole process so seamless, you’ve been a dream to work with x

Laura and Henry, Combermere Abbey (September 2022)
Helen and Mark's wedding in Cheshire

Communication from Alison in the lead up to our special day was excellent, and the performance on the day will remain with us forever, it was just beautiful.
This was without doubt the best ‘extra’ part to our wedding, and if you’re soft like me, beware…the music is likely to make you cry throughout the event!
Thank you so much for being a part of our special day, I cannot recommend you enough! X

Helen and Mark, The Grosvenor Pulford (November 2023)

Bridgewater string quartet are a must have for any wedding!
They are so easy to deal with and can turn their beautiful music to any song.
They added to the magic of our daughters wedding – as background music we saw guests humming along to well known songs and, they were ready to fill in the silence when the bridal entrance music failed to start on time.
Totally recommend these amazing musicians for any event as they can adapt to all events big and small
Thank you making our daughters wedding even more special !

Dawn Foley (Mother of the Bride), Hawkstone Hall (October 2023)
ullett road church

I hired Bridgewater for my wedding day and it honestly MADE the day. Not only are they the sweetest people on earth they play so well. All of my guests were absolutely blown away and it made the world of difference to my entrance down the aisle. They have a huge range of music to choose from and even accept suggestions if you really want a song that isn’t on their list too!
Wish I could do the whole day again to watch them, they went down a hit!
Couldn’t recommend more

Leah and Jon, Ullett Road Church, Liverpool (July 2023)
Manchester Art Gallery

BSQ recently performed at our Manchester-based wedding, and we couldn’t recommend them highly enough! From our first discussions with Alison, who was such a support in helping to select the music we wanted at our ceremony and reception, to the performance on the day, our experience was fantastic. Our guests absolutely loved the performances throughout the day, and it made our ceremony in particular extra special. Would highly highly recommend the quartet for weddings and any other special events!
