Last Saturday, we performed for Zoe & Simon’s drinks reception and wedding breakfast at the elegant Colshaw Hall near Knutsford. The first half of the drinks reception featured charismatic magician Andrew Cooper (@acmagicuk), the North West Wedding Awards winner 2024 and finalist 2025—his close‑up illusions set a magical tone before our quartet took over. Zoe first heard us at a garden party a few years ago. She told us, “I knew we just had to book you for our wedding.” That trust means everything, especially since so many of our bookings come from recommendations by couples and their families.
Tailoring the Perfect Playlist
Let’s just say Zoe’s enthusiasm got the better of her—so even after halving the number of songs she was keen to hear, there were still far more than we had time for. Nonetheless, we embraced that energy. We wove in 80s and 90s classics like A‑ha’s “Take on Me,” Guns N’ Roses’ “Sweet Child O’ Mine” and “Livin’ on a Prayer,” plus Coolio’s “Gangsta’s Paradise.” To add a touch of nostalgia, we included Disney’s “Part of Your World.”
Moreover, we featured full‑length film themes: John Williams’ “Raiders March,” the sweeping “Jurassic Park” theme, and the entire “Ghostbusters” soundtrack—perfect for a fun, communal singalong. Finally, we closed with Dexys Midnight Runners’ “Come On Eileen,” which had guests joining in between bites of their wedding breakfast. It was genuinely thrilling to see everyone so involved.
Highlights of the Day
Throughout the afternoon, we received countless compliments from guests and the happy couple alike. Zoe & Simon were delighted with every selection and gesture. Performing at Colshaw Hall reminded us why we love what we do—crafting musical moments that become lasting memories.
