A picturesque venue with natural charm
We had the pleasure of entertaining guests ahead of Ellie and Jay’s wedding blessing at the magnificent Rookery Hall. Booked through the wonderful Notable Music agency, we performed on the fountain lawn under the rose arch—an idyllic spot with just enough cover to protect us (and our instruments!) when the skies offered a little extra “blessing.” Even with drizzle, the garden was stunning, and our music carried beautifully across the lawn.
Bespoke musical moments for a heartfelt ceremony
The bridesmaids floated in to the timeless strains of Pachelbel’s Canon. Ellie followed, arriving to a slowed-down version of Here Comes the Sun—paced exactly to the tempo she’d rehearsed. Using a metronome, we matched her preferred speed to make the moment feel just right. Their exit music, Signed, Sealed, Delivered, began as they shared their first kiss—a charming twist on the traditional cue. From classical elegance to Motown joy, the soundtrack was tailored to the couple’s vision.
Tuscan touches and floral finesse
The floral arrangements embraced a Tuscan theme with vibrant citrus accents. Lemon slices lined the glass vases, framing abundant gypsophila and crisp white roses. Understated and elegant, the setup radiated warmth and romance—an absolute feast for the senses.
Meeting fellow performers and musical camaraderie
We crossed paths with the effortlessly cool Andy Bayley, a swing singer also booked through Notable Music. Not only does he sound the part, he looks it too—sharp as a whistle and utterly charming. He even took a video of us performing (thank you!), and you can spot him in our reel, looking every bit the swing-era frontman. As ever, the Rookery Hall team welcomed us with open arms—thoughtful, helpful, and genuinely lovely to work with. It’s one of our favourite venues for a reason. And here’s a fun fact for couples planning their big day: it’s dog friendly. Just one more reason we adore performing here!
