Eni & Aaron’s Wedding at Casterton Grange

A Stylish Celebration in the Heart of Cumbria

Eni and Aaron’s wedding at Casterton Grange, near Carnforth, celebrated elegance, emotion, and impeccable taste. Nestled at the northern edge of our travel radius, this stunning estate offers a quintessential country house experience. It features Italianate terraces, walled gardens, and a sailcloth marquee that looked nothing short of magical.

We always allow generous travel time for venues this far north, and this time it truly paid off. Two major accidents on the M6 delayed us by nearly an hour. Fortunately, we rerouted via a well-planned detour and immediately called the wonderful wedding coordinator, Anneka, to update her. We still arrived with 20 minutes to spare—enough time for a short rehearsal and a smooth start to the day.

Typically, we arrive 45 minutes before our booking. Although setup only takes 10–15 minutes, this buffer helps absorb rare but impactful traffic issues like these. As a result, we were able to stay calm and keep everything on track.

Pre-Pre Ceremony Music: A Growing Trend

We began the day by performing for the pre-pre ceremony drinks reception, a feature that’s becoming increasingly popular. This 45-minute set takes place while guests gather in a separate location from the ceremony area. As long as chairs are already in place, we can relocate in around five minutes.

At Casterton, we set up at the top of the stairs where drinks were being served. Although the sky looked a little threatening, the venue responded quickly. Staff brought over large, elegant umbrellas—complete with tassels!—to shelter us. This thoughtful touch matched the venue’s charm and kept everything running smoothly.

Our music request form is fully editable, so couples can tailor every detail. On this occasion, Aaron phoned us to discuss ceremony logistics, including piped music for part of the service. He spoke with warmth and consideration, clearly invested in making the day special. His bride-to-be? None other than Eniola Dare, Fashion Editor at British Vogue.

Ceremony Highlights & Musical Moments

The ceremony took place outdoors. Benches lined the space in a casual yet sophisticated style, while breathtaking floral arrangements framed the aisle. We performed the final section of “You’ll Never Walk Alone” for Aaron’s entrance—a beautiful and emotional moment. When Eni and her bridesmaids weren’t quite ready, we extended the piece and played it in full. We were happy to adapt and support the moment.

We also stayed nearby in case the sound system faltered. We’ve done this many times before, offering a musical safety net when technology misbehaves. It’s a simple way to keep the ceremony flowing without stress.

Eni looked absolutely stunning—as you’d expect from someone with her fashion credentials. Meanwhile, Aaron was visibly moved as she walked down the aisle.

Drinks, Canapés & Kind Gestures

After the ceremony, we returned to our earlier spot to perform for the drinks and canapé reception. And what spectacular canapés they were! The atmosphere felt relaxed and joyful. Guests mingled, chatted, and soaked in the surroundings.

Several guests offered kind compliments. One thoughtful guest—the partner of a bridesmaid—filmed us and offered to share the footage. He even offered to help carry our instrument cases down to the ceremony area. Although we politely declined, we truly appreciated the gesture.

A Family of Style

One standout moment came when our cellist complimented Eni’s mother on her beautiful pink dress. She explained that it had been hand-sewn in Nigeria and adorned with hundreds of tiny pink roses. The dress was a work of art—and a clear reflection of the style and grace that runs in the family.

Kind Words from the Couple

We were delighted to receive this thoughtful message from Aaron and Eni following their wedding:

We just wanted to say a big thank you for playing such lovely music at our wedding. Your team really added a touch of class to the whole day and I’m sorry we didn’t get a chance to meet you personally but all our guests commented on how great you were.

Thank you for making it so effortless for us and for the perfect aisle walk song!

Many thanks again,
Aaron & Eni
