Straight after finishing recording the orchestral parts for Alexis Ffrench’s album, we were went into a new recording session for Decca.  This time it was two new tracks for the marvellous Christian Li.  We played as part of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic again but this time under the baton of Jascha Von Der Goltz at The Friary, Livepool.  Christian played two violin arrangements from Tchaikovsky’s ballets.  The first was “Russian Dance” from “Swan Lake,” and the second “Waltz of the Flowers” from the “Nutcracker.” Both arrangements, by Campbell, are extremely virtuosic but Christian made them sound very easy!
