Here’s a video of “In the Ghetto” from One Night of Elvis on the 27th September. We’ve performed many times in the brilliant Lee Memphis King’s show, One Night of Elvis. We each have a regular deputy, since we all work regularly for professional orchestras, and all eight of us perform in this fabulous show.
One Night of Elvis @ Bridgewater Hall was on the 27th September and we loved it! There are Elvis tributes… and then there’s Lee Memphis King.
Lee Memphis King is Europe’s most successful Elvis Presley tribute artist because he recreates the essence of the King with consummate ease. There is an almost unbelievable combination of stunningly accurate vocals and incredible passion in every performance.
Over the last 12 years, Lee has toured his ‘One Night of Elvis prouduction’ and he has picked up numerous accolades. He has also headlined and sold out some of the most prestigious venues across the UK and beyond.
In this latest production, Lee Memphis King portrays Elvis Presley at his peak, celebrating the iconic ‘Vegas Years’ from 1969 – 1977. Resplendent in the most authentic costumes from Elvis’s performance and an orchestra backing this incredible performer prepare to be taken back in time to see Elvis in the way it was.
The show features all of the best loved hits including ‘Suspicious Minds’, ‘American Trilogy’, ‘In the Ghetto’. There are also some of the newer orchestral arrangements of songs from the Philharmonic recordings.
Lee Memphis King replicates it all with stunning authenticity. The voice and equally important for Lee, the passion and energy that Elvis put into his songs.
