What an unforgettable day it was at Chester Zoo outdoor wedding, as we had the immense pleasure of performing for Meg and Tom’s ceremony and reception in The Square. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere sparked joy—bathed in summer sunshine, surrounded by lush greenery, and punctuated by happy animal calls (including two very curious jackdaws!).
Venue Details at Chester Zoo Indeed, Meg—who served as project manager for the venue—knows Cheshire wedding venues inside out. Furthermore, every detail was flawlessly in place. Elegant signage guided guests, and guests found their seats easily thanks to clear wayfinding. Additionally, the seating in The Square looked stunning, with each chair perfectly aligned.
Setting the Scene Moreover, it’s not every day you exchange vows while elephants trumpet in the distance or giraffes stroll by. Therefore, the team at Chester Zoo made the remarkable seem effortless. Finally, the combination of wildlife and wedding décor created a uniquely magical backdrop.
Memorable Ceremony Music Choices Firstly, we began with “Concerning Hobbits,” creating a light, whimsical mood for the mother of the bride and flower girl procession. Then, Meg’s grand entrance featured Madonna’s classic “Like a Prayer” 💖—a perfect blend of romance and empowerment. Meanwhile, two jackdaws watched intently, adding a cheeky wildlife twist.
Reception Entertainment & Zoo Adventures
Zoo Exploration After the ceremony, many guests took the chance to explore the zoo. Initially, they wandered among the meerkats and flamingos. Moreover, they even paused at the big cat enclosures before returning.
Relaxing in The Square Meanwhile, others stayed in The Square, enjoying champagne and live string music under the trees. Furthermore, our upbeat sets added to the buzz of conversation and laughter as the sun blazed overhead.
Wildlife Encounters In addition, two cheeky jackdaws joined the fun by perching close during the set—adding a memorable wildlife twist!
A Grand Musical Exit Finally, we cranked up the energy for Meg and Tom’s Top Gun wedding exit, playing the iconic theme as guests danced and cheered. Consequently, it was a fantastic send-off to an incredible day.
