Performing at the Bridgewater Hall

Performing at Bridgewater Hall with the BBC Philharmonic

Two of us are thrilled to be performing in tonight’s concert at Bridgewater Hall with the BBC Philharmonic. This programme features a fascinating selection of music, including two premieres and a powerful symphony.

A Night of Unique and Powerful Music

The concert is conducted by Anja Bihlmaier and showcases a range of innovative compositions. The programme includes:

  • Olga Neuwirth – Dreydl (UK Premiere): A thought-provoking piece making its first appearance in the UK.
  • Sofia Gubaidulina – The Light at the End: A gripping orchestral work with rich harmonies and dramatic contrasts.
  • Sarah Gibson – beyond the beyond (World Premiere): A brand-new piece, marking an exciting moment for contemporary classical music.
  • Emilie Mayer – Symphony No. 5 in F minor: A symphony filled with passion, composed by one of the 19th century’s most remarkable female composers.

Celebrating Female Composers on International Women’s Day

Tonight’s concert is a perfect way to celebrate International Women’s Day 2025. The programme highlights incredible works by female composers, from the 19th century to the present day.

Performing this music in such a stunning venue makes the experience even more special. Bridgewater Hall provides the perfect setting for an evening of inspiring orchestral sounds.

Looking Forward to an Exciting Evening

We are excited to bring these extraordinary pieces to life alongside the BBC Philharmonic. If you are attending the concert, we hope you enjoy this unique musical journey.
