A Personal Connection with Ice Entertainment
Rebecca & Connor’s wedding reception at Delta Hotels Worsley Park Country Club was special from the start. The booking came through the brilliant Ice Entertainment, run by dear friends I’ve known for donkeys’ years. What made it particularly meaningful was that Paul, one of Ice’s trusted agents, had booked us on behalf of his son—the groom! Such a personal gesture made it all the more of an honour and a privilege to be part of the day.
Courtyard Elegance and a Surprise Reveal
We performed during the drinks reception held in the hotel’s elegant courtyard. The skies may have started out grey, but right on cue, the sun broke through—almost as if nature was in on the surprise. Rebecca, the bride, had previously shown interest in booking a string quartet, but in a playful twist, Paul and his wife, Nicky, had gently put her off the idea. Cue one delighted bride when we arrived! Her reaction was priceless, and it was pure joy to be part of the surprise.
Music, Magic and Meaningful Moments
We played a fabulous mix of classical repertoire, big band gems, and pop favourites to match the uplifting mood of the afternoon. Compliments flowed, and the warm, lively atmosphere made it a performance to remember. It’s moments like these that remind us how music truly brings people together.
Familiar Faces and Fantastic Support
It was also a treat to reconnect with some of our beloved colleagues—Elissa Baker, the ever-brilliant master of ceremonies who was a tremendous support throughout, and Frank Henshall, a gifted photographer with an eye for capturing the magic in every frame.

We’re so grateful to Rebecca, Connor, Paul, Nicky, and the team at Ice Entertainment for having us. We had an absolute blast and loved being part of this joyful and memory-filled celebration.
