Sarah & Chris’ Wedding Celebration
We played for Sarah & Chris’ Wedding Celebration at the delightful Hilltop Country House near Prestwich. The day stayed warm and dry with an overcast sky that was perfect for photos. The venue staff welcomed us and even offered a gazebo, though we were able to perform in the open air.
Pre-ceremony: Sarah & Chris’ Wedding Celebration
We played a lively pre-ceremony mix on the lawn. Concerning Hobbits felt especially fitting for the setting. Guests relaxed on the grass while final preparations finished inside.
The Ceremony
The bridesmaids processed first. Sarah followed, entering to Max Richter’s Spring Recomposed. She timed her entrance to reach her place just seconds before the piece ended so we didn’t need our backup loop. The ceremony felt warm and personal. A friend of the couple led it and the readings were lovely.
Post-ceremony Surprise
Straight after the ceremony the couple asked for John Williams’ Cantina Band from Star Wars while they had group photos. Couples often ask us to play a specific piece at this point and we’re always happy to oblige. The upbeat choice brought smiles as people moved through the gardens.
Reception Music at Sarah & Chris’ Wedding Celebration
After the line-up we followed guests onto the lawn beyond the hedges and set up outside the house. The sky stayed overcast so we performed without shelter though the marquee and other covered options were available. Sarah and Chris chose a mix of classical, pop and film music for the reception. Many guests came over to say how much they enjoyed the music which we love to hear.

It also offers an outdoor chillout area and a “boogie room” for dancing. The staff are helpful and the spaces are flexible which makes the day easier for couples and suppliers.
